Hi all,

i am in dire need of a video driver that works in windows 7.. i have ati x1950 pro pci card... i have installed the ati catalyst 9.3 drivers now.. it installs perfectly.. but when i click on the catalyst control center it doesn't show up at all... also in dxdiag in video tab name says radeon x1950 series (microsoft corporation).. does that mean my card is still using microsoft drivers??.... and games also does not work.. some games work. some dont.. for eg.. witcher does not work... but coj:bib works.... some small games run damn slow.. eg gish, armadillo run, plusorminus... very slow... but world of goo works perfectly.. wth!!!... i cant understand whats happening at all. i tried catalyst 9.1, 9.2, 9.7 nothing works.. what can i do.. i have attached dxdiag log too.. please help...

"Caution: The Catalystâ„¢ Control Center requires that the Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 be installed. Without .NET version 2.0 installed, the Catalystâ„¢ Control Center will not launch properly and the user will see an error message."

You can always try the Vista driver.

.Net framework version 2.0 comes as a part of windows 7.. anyways tried to install.. but it said it's already present.. also i tried all the vista drivers too.. same thing happens

You have to realize that Win7 is still basically a beta...there are still bugs in it. As M$ has stated all along, the RC is for testing purposes only & should NOT be used as your primary OS.
