so i want to buy a BFG GeForce 8800 GTX, and the only is issue is that i know it runs DX10 on vista, but if im running xp will the card still work right, and would directx10 just not work on xp, or is directx10 stricty for vista?

DX10 is not compatible with XP. I believe some 3rd party software interests are trying to make it work, but nothing yet from Microsoft...& chances are, they're won't be.

even without Dx10 support in XP, your GTX will absolutley fly!! With more mature drivers too, im sure without the fanc dx10 effects you'll be impressd!! Im using a TS n vista with fantastic results, however it was faster using XP by around 20 ps on average.
