How can you tell which video cards support T&L? Relative wants to play Halo, which requires a video card with at least 32meg of ram and supports T&L. He will have to upgrade his card, but we can't figure out how to tell if a card supports T&L. I've been looking at Newegg and Tiger, none of the cards say anything about T&L. Google searching has been no help. Also, motherboard only supports AGP 4x, not 8x.

T&L has been standard for a while now, if your friend got his computer within the last 5 years his video card should support it. However there is a requirement for the games titles out there and they do vary, so the best way to be sure his computer will support a specific game is to check with the game manufacturer for that game's requirement. Transforming and lighting is supported by any Geforce card, and most Radeons.
