I am thinking get a new video card for my PC, and wondering which spec do I need to consider most.
core clock?
Memory Clock?
Memory Bandwidth?I found ati x800 has more memory bandwidth and cheaper than geforce 6800, but 6800 has higher core & memory clock with higher price.
Which one should I choose?geforce 6800 spec
price $199
GPU/VPU NVIDIA GeForce 6800
RAMDAC Dual 400 MHz
Fill Rate per Second 3.9 billion pixels
Vertices per Second 406 Million
Video Memory 256MB
Memory Type 256-bit DDR3
Core Clock 350 MHz
Memory Clock 900 MHz
Memory Bandwidth 22.4GB/sec.radeon x800 spec
price $164
GPU/VPU Radeon X800 GT
RAMDAC Dual 400 MHz
Fill Rate per Second 3.8 billion pixels
Video Memory 256MB
Memory Type 256-bit GDDR3
Core Clock 475 MHz
Memory Clock 980 MHz
Memory Bandwidth 31.4GB/sec.

i'd say go with the x800,i have the x800pro modded to x850xt,very good card, try and get the xt model if ya can.
AMD FX 57 OC'D 3.2GHZ
ASUS P5RD2-MVPDELUXE
2GIG CORSAIR XMS
MAXTOR MAXLINE II 250NCQ
CROSSFIRE 1800XTS

I have the MSI Radeon x800 card and I can't complaine. (Though I had a Powercolour Radon 7000 32MB pci before it). I play HL2 on all high settings with a resolution at 1152x864 and I get about 60-70fps and at most 150fps. I can overclock it pretty good also, between an XL and Pro.
Abit AN8 Socket 939
AMD64 3000+ -1.8Ghz
Corsair 1Gig 2x512
Seagate 160Gig SATA
MSI Radeon x800 PCI-E
Antec TrueControle 2.0 550 Watts

It seems x800 would be a better choice in terms of the specs, but I like nvidia's Digital Vibrance Control though.

We can't suggest a video card without knowing your system specs...if you've got a lower end CPU, you need a lower end video card. There's no point running a high end card with a 1.0GHz CPU
ASUS A7N8X-X
Athlon XP 1800+
8.5 x 200MHz
1024MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7
Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB
WinME/WinXP Pro SP2

Sorry, my system specs are follows:
Pentium 4 775 2M cache 3GHz
Memory 1G of DDR2-533
Mobo ECS RS400A
Harddisk SATA 250G
OS Windowsxp pro
Video card Geforce 6600 256M
PS XG Magnum 500

why exatly now are you upgrading then, the 6600 is still a valid card for current gaming.
Windows Xp Pro x64
AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8ghz
1 Gig Ram pc2700
Nforce 4 Motherboard
Radeon X700 256mb
Realtek Ac 97 Onboard Audio
Thermaltake 430W Power Supply

I've noticed that when I play a latest FPS game like Fear, 6600 doesn't really do a good job.
