Just trying to get the most bang for my bucks. Considering Ati 3870 and nvidia 8800 gt.
that will give a general overview of most benchmarks. many reviews also talk about the price to performance ratio. i suggest giving google a try. 'hd3870 review' '8800gt review'

Yes Tomshardware.com is great, I've learned a lot reading through the articles and charts there. I know both cards show similar performance (probably similar enough that you wouldn't know the difference when using them). Just wondering if there's any real advantage to one over the other in real world situations.
