I just bought a new HP with vista in it. The computer only has the stock video card. I don't know which card to put in that will work with Vista. Please help!

My specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 (C) DC 2.13 GHz
500 GB (2 x 250) SATA 3G (3.0 Gb/sec)
2 GB of RAM
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit
one free slot for a PCI Express x16

Any PCI-Express card will work. However, currently only the nVidia 8800 range supports DirectX 10. These cards are quite expensive, so if you are looking for a card that will give you Aero Glass then any will do. But if you are a hardened gamer then there is no question (at the moment). The only thing to consider is "can I really justify spending £400($780) on a graphics card?"

I put a nVidea 7600 in and I couldn't play any of my games. I took it out and my games started working but don't look good. I tried to down load new drivers but the only drivers for the 7600 are for XP.

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winvis...

This says it's a Vista driver for series 7 g-force cards.

On the nvidia drivers page, choose "Gforce and TNT" as the type of driver, not the "gforce 7 go". That gives you the option of Vista drivers
