My video card is a evga7900gt ko. Its factory overclocked. My question has to do wityh overclocking and certain features in games that the card supports. My first question is which is more intense on the gpu and can cause frame rate to drop. Antialiasing or Hdr lighting. Second would be if I can overlclock my card and what utility can I use. Thanks.

If you have to go with one or the other, you should disable HDR because of the bigger performance hit. With my plain 6800, I used PowerStrip to overclock but I've got CoolBits enabled as well.

I got coolbits 2.0, just like ntune, my card has core clock of 520mhz and 750mhz of memory. I looked online and no one really has talked about overlocking this card and there satistics that where safe. What would be a recommended MHZ. And my or powersupply is a 560watts

Unfortunately, I can't tell you precisely how far or by how much you need to push your card because the risk ultimately is *all* yours.

Now with my WinFast A400 aka 6800 (128MB), it came stock with the core running at 325MHz and the RAM at 350MHz (effectively 700MHz) & had 12 pipelines.

However, for the past five months or thereabout, I've had the core at 385MHz and the RAM at 440MHz (effectively 880MHz) and unlocked the extra four pipes to 16 using RivaTuner. I do make sure to keep an eye on the GPU temp and all the while, I'd say it averages about 60°C @ idle.

I now have it at 544mhz core and 804 mhz memory. While playing games like oblivion, I noticed it still stayed below 55°C. Im also playing at a really high resoultion. (1680x1050). I noticed a few frames using fraps. Still averages around 30 in the really large scenes with many trees ect.
I'll do some more reading, see if i could up the core by a little. The memory i wont play around with.

Core 558mhz, memory 804mhz. Temp is at 47 celcius. I think this is a good setting, applied at start up and works fine. My cooling is fan wise and I dont have liquid so I think these settings are good enough.
