Up until recently, my pc games have ran fine. I'm not THAT into pc gaming, but a few days ago i started playing the new game Demigod and got really slow frame rates even on the lowest settings. I thought it was just this game, but i tried playing fall out 3, which was always ran perfectly, and WoW and both of them produced extremely low frame rates at even the lowest settings. I have defragmented my hard drive and still have 180gb out of 687gb free. I also have 6 gigs of RAM. I'm pretty sure that my drivers are up to date as well. My system info is
Manufacturer: Hp-pavilion Model: Kq497aa-aba m9340f OS: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium CPU/Ram: 2.667 GHz / 6142 MB Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GS Sound Card: High Definition Audio Device
first thing you should try is making sure you have the latest video driver for your graphics card go to www.nvidia.com if you do find u need a later driver then install it. i presume you know how to unistall your old driver turn off your anti-virus & firewall while this is done then install your new driver then turn on your anti-virus & firewall b4 you go back on the net after you have insalled the new driver if required go back into the game and try turning down the screen resulution, to see how it plays if its good then gradually turn up the resulution untils it begins to lag find the best performance of resulution once u got the res correct then up the settings ingame...screen resulution is the biggest graphic power muncher....hopefully this should sort it out..let me know how u get on....!
also the most probable problem is the 9500GS is a very low end gaming card....if u can get another card like any from the gtx 200 series your system will fly ....but its not cheap..check it out....to play most latest games with nice graphics you need a powerful video card..!

there was a new driver released earlier this month. Thanks for telling me where to find it. Downloading now hopefully the problem is solved. I'm alright with my current graphics card because i play my 360 a lot more than my pc, but thanks for the suggestion.
