Very low Fps in all games

Hi There im really having this problem in my pc.....i have newly purchased nvidia geforce 8400 gs card to my pc.......it was going fine 4 2 months but then i started face this very low FPS problem in all games.....at first the FPS shows around 40-50 but after 3-5 min it drops down to 5-8 FPS.
I really don't know wats the problem is.........
I even tried to update all the drivers skipped the background programs none of above works...........plzzzzz a little help would be much appreciated.......Thank u
The 8400GS is extremely low end...it shouldn't even be classified as a gaming card. I don't know what games you were playing that got 40-50 FPS, but I doubt it was anything too new or you probably have the game settings dialed down pretty low.
You can try disabling all unnecessary background programs but ideally, you need a better video card. Have a look at this benchmark chart...scroll to the bottom to find where your card ranks:
