I was thinking of buying some VData RAM, 1024Mb DDR400. I just wanted to check if this RAM is OK, if anyones had any bad experience with it, and if it's worth getting. It's really cheap, by the way.

Hopefully you're gonna dump the PC2100 (DDR266) that you're currently running...it's really putting a damper on your system.
If you want 1GB of RAM, you should run 2 x 512MB PC3200 (DDR400) in dual channel mode. Are you from the US? Newegg has 1GB (2 x 512MB) Kingmax SuperRAM Series Dual Channel Kit with a CAS of 2.5 for about $88 shipped:
