i'm having a problem geting my game to run after i installed it using daemon tools. i dled the bin and the cue file and i used to bin files to install it on my computer by mounting it on to the virtual drive created by daemon tools. and then after installation i try and play the game by clicking on the desktop icon but it says please enter the cd. but i have the bin file mounted on the virtual hard drive created by daemon tools. do i have to do something with the cue file? aren't they the same thing? or am i just missing something. this game is command and conquer generals. honestly, if you are just going to critize me and say that the files that i have dled were acquired illegally, please just spare me your lectures, and don't waste your time typing. thanks alot though for reading and even more thanks to those who can actaully give me some advice.

Some games do not support the use of programs such as daemon tools.

Here is a line from the GTA: Vice City readme:

We do not support the use of CD emulators,
and as such these programs will be closed down when run in the background.

This may be why your game does not work.

Even though the CD emulation program itself may not close, it may get disabled. My advice, find a No-Cd patch for your game.

You have to mount the .cue.

If you can, burn the .cue to a disk, and then run the game from that.

Ok I use that too this is what I do
If you have a tray Icon then right click on it, go to Virtual CD/DVD rom, go to whatever device you have the image file mounted on, click eject tray.
Then do the same thing accept click load tray as the last thing.
When the autorun comes play from there
