Hello,

I have read about the INTEC X-Port.

http://shop.store.yahoo.com/guybuys/2104945.html

Do I really need to spend $30 to transfer saves and rosters from a place like www.maddenmania.com to my PS2? Is there some kind of USB Data Transfer cable I can use instead?

Any help is appreciated...
Nate

I used to hav PS2, but its broken and I don't have the Online PS2 thing. If you see a USB slot or a CAt5 Slot(Those wires that are little bigger than dial up wires), you're going to need a ROUTER, a dsl/cable/whatever ethernet modem, and couple of wires.

Post back and I'll tell you. Its no use telling it to you if your PS2 doesen't have a USB slot or a CAT5 Slot.

Hey rick,

Thanks for your help. I have the online adapter, I see the USB slots and I have some cat5 cables. Also, I have a switch and a hub, but no router.

I'll be interested to see how I might be able to transfer saves from my PC to the PS2 memory card this way.

Thanks!
Nate

A router is better than a hub, but oh well. If you have a hub, you do have a DSL or Cable Modem right? And...on your PS2, does it have a USB slot and a Cat5 Slot? If it only has a USB slot, you're going to need a USB Router which only supports USB cables.

If your PS2 has a Cat5 Slot, Use one of your Cat5 Cables and connect it to the hub. Its pretty simple. I never used a Online PS2 before but it should work. Make sure your hub is connected to your DSL / Cable / T1 Modem as well. Then, see if it works.

Yeah, I can do that.

Any idea how to "see if it works"?

I don't know how to transfer saves from the PC to the PS2, I have no program for it.

Thanks
Nate

Update:
OK I got the XPort 2 software from www.codejunkies.com.

The way the XPort system works that you buy is it gives you a USB cable that transfers saves from the PC to the PS2. Anyone know what kind of cable that is? Can I get it somewhere so I don't have to spend $30 for it?

Thanks
Nate

Hmm...well first I got to take a look at the Xport System. Would it be okay if you can give me a link for Xport next time?

Perhaps you can get it, at stores like Frys.
