i got this new computer yesterday and have been playing world of warcraft but while im playing it, the game freezes and goes to a blue screen giving me the error STOP 0x0000008E. I went to find technical support for it and found a solution, it said the problem was with my video drivers and said to uninstall the old ones then reinstall newer ones so i did that but im still getting the stupid error. so if anyone out there has any clue on how to fix this id really REALLY appreciate it, Thanks

Please provide the entire text of the error, specifically the description like...

KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

and the file it is associated with.

Also, copy and paste the corresponding error entry that is in your event log (Right click My Computer -> Manage -> Event Viewer -> check system and app logs for errors around the time of the blue screen).

Finally, have you updated your motherboard's chipset drivers as well?

"i dont think its a haxdoor virus i mean i JUST got this computer"

I had a buddy who said he didn't need a firewall when he got broadband. Hooked it in and ten seconds later he got hit with a worm.

"here is what i found in the log..."

There's a copy button on the log entry (looks like to pieces of paper). Copy and paste the entire log entry please.

"if your indicating the motherboard video chipset yes i did like 3 times and still no good"

No, I mean your motherboard's chipset drivers. What chipset is your motherboard? 865G?

That's indicative of memory errors.

Could try loosening the timings in the BIOS, updated chipset drivers as well. If neither work, you probably have a bad memory stick.
