My computer is a few years old. I built it myself with little knowledge about computers. What ever was affordable at the time I just bought the parts and put it together. I have absolute no knowledge about video cards. My video card atm is just not up to pare with any games anymore. I want to upgrade it the best my system can handle. I don't intend to build a new computer in 2 years so I want this to be my last upgrade. I'm on a tight budget so I'm only willing to spend under $150 though $100 or less would be perfect. My mobo can only handle 8x so recommendations would really be appreciated.

mobo: is7 abit
cpu: 3ghz p4
ram: 1gig 3200
video card atm: radeon 9550

This card uses GDDR3 and clocks faster than the 7600 and costs less after rebate. Don't listen to the other guy he has no idea.

Although there is a handful of scenarios where the 7600GS even with it being a GDDR2 card outperforms the GDDR3 X1650Pro, but you are right to state that the X1650Pro is a better card overall. Unfortunately, I did not see that promo when I posted the 7600GS deal :-(
