Ok, ive been gaming for a while now and my computer is well outdated. For my birthday ill probably get about £150 - $275. My current system is

512mb Ram
Jetway N2PA-Ultra N2PAP
AMD Athlon(tm) 2600 XP
2.09 GHz
Nvidia Gefore 6600 LE

I'm fed up of playing on a fps of 20-50. What should i do next.

Im definetly considering getting 1gig of ram but im not sure what else!

Any advice would be much appreciated

Thanks, Jon

Increasing your RAM to 1GB is a good move...the other thing you should consider is dumping the 6600LE & getting a decent video card.

Before adding a video card, decide first if you want to upgrade your motherboard, CPU, fan as well. No point upgrading the video card to another AGP if a motherboard, CPU, fan is in the near future since PCI-e cards are better for the money.

hard, hard call man. I'd get on ebay an have a look for a motherboard bundle, something around £90, try to get SLi, the you can get another 6600LE, a big fan and some overclocking action. If you can get a 256 stick to put you to 768, that will cover your RAM for a while ;-)
