i have a nvidia geforce 5200 fx graphic card right now, and the only reason i want to buy a new one right now is cause i think its the problem for my WoW to freeze on me(but it comes out of freezing and does it again). so i was wondering if this is a good graphic card for the money cause i dont have much money right now.

If you have an FX5200, chances are you DO NOT have a PCI-E slot. First, determine what slot you have - AGP, or just PCI.

From a quick google search, you apparently have an AGP slot. There's not a lot of point to spending a lot of money on a graphics card for your system. I'd look at getting a graphics card AND a RAM upgrade.

A Radeon 9600 XT or Pro would be a good choice since it won't put a big draw on your power supply, which isn't all that great in a stock Dell.

I'd upgrade your RAM to at least a gig. That will help with your games and everything else significantly!

Well, your system CAN NOT support the card you posted, you have an AGP slot - you DO NOT have a PCI-E slot.

He posted an AGP card & you posted a PCI-E card - thus what he posted will work for you and what you posted won't.

You can have as many modules as there are slots on any machine, but they have to be compatible with the motherboard.

Your Dimension 4600 has four slots, each of which can support PC3200 up to 1GB for a total of 4GB. This doesn't mean you should call Dell and order enough memory to max out your system. A gig should be OK or max 2GB will do for whatever you'll be doing for the remainder of time you'll have the Dimension.

JSYK, upgrading the memory through Dell will cost you considerably more than it should & you can save quite a bit if you go with a third party retailer. Here's something that should work with the system & won't cost as much as what you'd be quoted by Dell - if you got it from them.

Yes you may have PCI slots but they are different to PCI-E, much slower and completely incompatible. Follow heropsycho's advice and go for a 9600XT or Pro.
