upgrading my gaming PC

Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 3.014 GHz / 1023 MB
hi all, im looking to finally upgrade, my computer(just for games), i don't know how much help those specs will be, so... i have a:

Intel 915P mother board
Nvida 6600 gt graphics card
Pentium 4 processor
2 512 cards of ram

as i said im going to be playing a lot of games on this so i want to have the equivalent of a Nvidia 9800 gt graphics card
or higher and of course more ram

i really hope you can help me optimize my hardware, thanks

You need to be more specific about your hardware.

Which P4 do you have? What FSB speed does it run at? What is the make/model of your motherboard? There are plenty of them based on the Intel 915P chipset. What speed RAM do you have? And what about the power supply...make/model/wattage & amperage specs?
