I am a budget gamer looking for a few upgrades to my computer. Ive been having problems with my computer lagging up while playing World of Warcraft and currently have a 256 mb of Ram and a NVIDIA GeForce 4 MX 440 video card. Was thinking of upgrading to a RADEON 9600 XT 128MB AGP while ATI has free shipping and doubling my RAM. Does this sound like the correct steps to fix my problem? Thanks

In the same price range, I would get a GeForce 5700 ULTRA 128MB. 9600 XT will perform nicely too though :)

An ATI 9600 is accually SLOWER than a GeForce4. Sure, go with the 5700, just don't get the LE. Even better, go just one tier higher and get a 5800, which is more compatable than the 5700 with most games, and not too much more expensive. Pricewise, I spent $91 on my 5700 LE 256mb(retail was $180) by searching pricewatch.com. I'm a college student too, so I know what it's like.
