Hi I would just like some advice on what will make me computer run sims 2 better and well any other game. My Computer is:
-P4 2.66Ghz Processor 478/533 512k
-Asus P4G8X-DX MB
-512MB PC/2700 333Mhz DDR RAM
-ATI (HIS) Radeon 7000 64MB DDR w/TV- Out
-Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
-LG 52x32x52 CDRW
If anyone could give me some tips on what to upgrade to make the computer run better playing games it would be appreciated. Also I know I have to upgrade the video card. I am willing to spend about $270 or so. So if I could get some advice on which one would run best on my computer and run games great.
Thanks

Leadtek's nVIDIA GeForce 6800 falls right within your budget.

I agree. That ATI card sucks. No, wait, ALL ATI cards suck. To make it worse, the card you have now is rather old. That FX 6800 sounds great and will last for a long time. Dang, that CPU sux too! Go with an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ at least - Intel CPUs aren't made for games at all, and AMD Athlon XPs work great with nVidia graphics cards. Even though the Athlon XP 3000 core clock speed is 2.17Ghz, it runs games as fast or faster than a Pentium 3.2Ghz. Take that, Intel slugs!!!
