p-3 866 mhz,96mb ram, inbuilt sond card & video card ,mother board- intel 810e ?should i go for it or not. i just want to taste UT 2003.
thanks 4 reading & replying.A day has 25 hours,if
i wake up 1 hr early.

Unfortuantly no. Your ram is extremely low, even for general computer use, the standard today is around 256mb, and onboard gfx tend to low specification which probably wont handle the game. Im affraid your most likely looking at a hefty upgrade job.

Yea, I agree with Baz...you have way too little RAM, & since you have onboard video, that makes things worse because it uses part of that RAM for the video.
You'd need to increase your RAM to at least 256mb & get at least a 64mb video card

Yes, but i was just testing my voodoo3 3000 16mb pci card and it ran UT2004. Seriously, it ran it. How?? i dont know

Even if the on board gfx proves sufficient enough, the systems ram surely will still be way too low.

will upgrading to 128+96 mb ram. at least run the game (i can manage slow running....)
btw thanks 2 everyone 4 guiding me.

That's hard to say...are you asking about the RAM upgrade only & sticking with the onboard?
I don't know how you have your video setup now, but if you go into the BIOS, there should be a setting for how much RAM can be used for the onboard video. Your options may be something like, 8, 16, 32, or 64MB. Obviously more should make your video better/faster...but it steals from the overall system performance. If you have a lot of RAM installed, say 512mb, you could afford to sacrifice 64MB to the video...that would put you at 448MB for the system...that's plenty.
If you go with 224MB (128 + 96), you could try the video at 32MB, leaving the system with 192MB...that "may" be enough to run the game.
Be very careful when upgrading your RAM...make sure you get something that's compatible with your board. If you're running PC100 now, you may run into the dreaded "high density" issue with PC133. Check your board specs...
