Hi, Does anyone know whether 'True Crime: Streets of LA' is any good?
I'm thinking of buying it. I love the GTA series of games and Mafia and from the screenshots it looks like a similar type of game. Does anyone know of somewhere that has a demo for download??

Thanks.

They both blow the chunks!!! ;)

As a personal preferance, I hate GTA and Streets of LA, but I can give GTA at least some credit with a unique genre and doing it right. Streets of LA I think is kind of a rip of GTA.

I have both games and GTA3 beats the pants off of true crime. True Crime can be way to complex with binding like 50 keys to do stuff and they are all different for in the car or out of car or in different street modes. I wouldnt spend any money on it. Also the graphics are HORRIBLE. if you want to try a new spin on GTA3, and have vice city, try the gta3 map wth the vice city engine. www.gtaforums.com has the install files. last i knew it was beta but still very nice.

I thought GTA2 was the worst one of the lot!
I've tried the GTA3 map for Vice City, it's good but I already know liberty, lost heaven and Vice city like the back of my hand so the novelty wore off quickly.

ROFL!!!!! I don't get it why does everyone like this crap rip off game (Streets of L.A) ?

I don't like it since I watched the 1st intro
of the game , yes I know I'm a fool for buying it but I got GTA3 same time and the reason of getting this 2 games same time was well GTA3 for PC is too slow even sometimes is unplayable
now lately I notice how slow is even in PS2 but
I have GTA3 VC for pc I'm a fan of GTA games.

About TCSOLA well I notice that is a clon of The Getaway PSX but Getaways is not a rip of GTA games is like Mafia just another great Driving mafioso game, and about Mafia well I can't say bad things of it because I fell in love with it but is not an arcade GTA like so don't tell me that Mafia sucks the only games of here in this topic that wins the best prize for worst clone rip off ever made is True crime - Streets of LA.
