Total Club manager flickering

i've owned total club manager 2004 for a while now and it's worked fine but recently i uninstalled it and then tried to reinstall it later.... it installed finebut every time i go to play it there's a strip along the bottem and right of the screen that flickers all the time. i've tried everything i can think of, (reinstalling again/cleaning disk/ changing resolutions & colour settings) please if anyones got any ideas????
