Well, seeing as how I can't play CoD on high resolution or even play cryssis with my geforce 6600gt do you think it's time for me to upgrade my video card? Is it worth it if my budget is like a hundred bucks?

Go for the 8600GT, X2600XT or X1950Pro. The X1950Pro is probably the best of the 3, but it doesn't support DX10.

I have the X1950Pro & even without DX10, games like Crysis still play stunningly .... although the card is still not adequate enough to support it at 1600 x 1200 with all settings maxed out.
It all boils down to what your priorities are; how much you are willing to spend & how the card best ties in with your current components .... there is only so much sustained data you can feed a super fast GPU with that CPU.

If I get the x1950 pro, will it be bottlenecked by my amd64 3000+ venice core? What's the best video card I can get that won't be bottlenecked by my processor?

Summary: Yeah but that's another 120 bucks more then the 3700+. It's not worth it because by the time you will need a dual core games the FX-60 will be prob down to 300-350 bucks by then and that would be a st...
Summary: Yeah I think I'll go for option 2. I built this PC more than a year ago and now it does seem to be the time to upgrade due to the more demanding programs that require more RAM to run smooth... Cheers ...
