Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 1.862 GHz / 1022 MB
Hi guys

I am new to this forum and have not got much experience with the ins and outs of the technical details of computers, however I am aware (through past experience :P) that my graphics card is hopeless when trying to play games eg GTA 4. I am considering upgrading my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE) to something a bit more suitable, but have no idea what card would work, what it would achieve, or how to go about the upgrading process :S sorry! Any advice on these would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

We need to know which upgrade slot you have to work with (PCI, AGP or PCI-express), your power supply specs (wattage & amperages) & how much you're willing to spend. And since you list a Pack/Bell, you're probably not from the US so it would help to know in which country you'll be buying the hardware. If you have a site that you use for making such purchases, post a link.

I'm in the UK, using a Packard Bell iMedia MC 2569, with a PCI-Express Interface and the power supply specs are 100-230Vac, 4-2A (says that on the back of the PC lol).
Would up to £100 get me a decent enough card?

Still need to know the PSU specs. What you listed is the input voltage which is useless. What is the total wattage of the unit & what are the amperage specs for the +3.3v, +5v & +12v rails? Open the case & get this info off the label on the side of the PSU. And see if it has a 6-pin PCIe plug or at least 2 unused 4-pin molex'll need them for a decent gaming card.

If your PSU specs are too weak, you'll either have to replace the PSU or your could try a Radeon's one of the few gaming cards that doesn't require the 6-pin plug.
