The first time I uploaded the game it worked great, the second time it had a problem but after pressing something it worked but then my dad went back to check what he did, now it freezes in the intro [the disc was a pirate, I know it is bad but it was the only way to get the game]

"the disc was a pirate"

Never, EVER admit to that in a forum!

Do not worry, just after some body told me that it was a pirate, I paniced and felt ashamed of buying the game, but I talked to a lot of people and now I know that it is not a pirate, it is a legal copy, in this country piracy is allowed, I have no idea why!

But anyway, why doesn't it work if it is not a pirate? [ thank for reminding me to tell everyone the all-clear news]

Despite the pirate or not pirate issue, the Sims 2 clearly states on the back of the boxes that it is not laptop compatible. Sometimes it does work on a laptop, my daughters game works on her laptop, but the game doesn't work well with laptop chipsets. If this isn't the problem, then it's a fault copy of the game you purchased. You should try seeing if you can download a purchased version from the Sims 2 website and see if that works.

hi. I tried to play the sims 2 on laptop. It had
enough memory and hard disk and graphics card, but my processor was not powerful enough. Really speaking games like the sims should be played on pc desktops cause they work much better and have more powerful processors, unless it's a mac or something. Check your system requirments and check out a website called ''can you run it'' or just google ''system requirments'' and it will tell you if your laptop can run. it is free to use. But again you said it was a pirated copy, so maybe that has something to do with it. If you were a true sims fan you would buy the game! or save up money to buy it if you couldn't afford to splash out

Okay, the fact that it doesn't work on laptop's is almost surely B.S.

It should function fine on any PC, along with any game that uses the DirectX engine.

Since this is a laptop however, it's harder to find drivers for it. Try going to your laptop manufacturers website and downloading the latest graphics card drivers for it.
