Hey I know you already answered this but it didn't really help me much.. When I try and play the Sims2 on my XP computer it says "can't find DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter.." etc etc.. I've tried downloading it from microsoft like the manual said but it didn't work and I've downloaded numerous programs but none have worked.. Also our computer has been 're-booted' twice so I'm thinking that may be the problem..? How can I fix this, please? I know you probably need specs but I honestly havn't a clue what to tell you.. Please help.

You need a new graphics card that supports Direct x9.0c. The Direct x program is on the disc with the game, but your video card doesn't support the version. You can play the game in a window but it will be very laggy. So the gist is that you need to purchase a new video card for your system to run this game.
