Try CloneCD 4.2.0.2

Asus A7N8X-X
1800+ @ 8.5 x 200MHz
768MB PC3200
Asus A9550 128MB/128-bit
Gamer Edition
WinME/WinXP Pro

or alcohol 120% is a nice software, but it depends on your cd drive sometimes. Personally the only luck ive had is with emulating software not burning, u will need a crack to run it.

Go to gameburnworld.com and see what copy protection program is used on the CD; there should be a list on the site, just look for The Sims and it'll tell you. Then download a crack program that'll disable that program. Theoretically, while the crack program is running, it'll override the CD-protection software while you copy it. I've never tried it though...
I couldn't find the list, so here's where you can get a program that'll identifiy what copy lock is on the CD:
http://gameburnworld.com/cdridentifyingtools.htmWhat I did with Halo is copied all the cd's contents into a folder on the hard drive, downloaded a no-cd patch or program that replaces the default one(the default .exe file searches for a CD, but the nocd replacement .exe skips it, letting you play without the CD). Then I put the CD contents(now on the hard drive) onto a CD-R along with the nocd program. The cd let me install the game, but because the CD's contents were just copied onto it, somehow it won't run from the cd. Therefore, a nocd program or patch is needed. Once Microsoft's halo.exe is replaced with the one from gameburnworld, it works! However, in your case, The Sims. BTW: no-cd patches and programs are on gameburnworld also.
I won't get in trouble for this, will I?
