I have recently purchased The Sims 3 and am finding the gameplay to be EXTREMELY slow. I have updated my graphics driver which is "Generic PnP Monitor on Mobile Intel (R) 945 Express Chipset Family" I have no idea if that helps though... I have 51.7 GB free of 105 GB. Processor is Intel Core (TM) Duo CPU T2450 @ 2.00GHZ. Memory (RAM): 1.00GB System Type: 32-bit Operating System.
Whenever a new game comes out, the forum is flooded with questions about why it runs poorly or not at all. Scroll down & you'll see at least a dozen recent questions about SIMS 3. I don't know why it's so difficult to check the system requirements BEFORE you buy the game to make sure your system at least meets the minimum? They're printed on the side of the box, in the manual, on the SIMS website & on countless gaming websites & forums, etc.
Based on the CPU (T2450), you have a laptop/notebook, so as Gamer126 put it, you're "stuffed". There is no way to get that game to play well on your laptop...no hardware changes that can be made, no software tweaks. You need a gaming laptop. Entry level gamers sell for about $1000.
