Hi there,
i just brought the sims 2 DVD edition and am having problems playing the Sims

When the sims was in preview many posted to my fourm saying that the sims 2 would work. but things have seemed to go haywire now.

Anyway, yeah the sims works but has appauling graphic really pixelly / boxy when up close

my game is set to a res. of 800*600 in the game and everything is turned up high

and this is my system:

MY SYSTEM: (As from EA EASYINFO).

Operating System (Get Updates) Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (Build 2600)

System Memory 224.5

Processor Speed 2395.9

DirectX Version (Get Updates) 9.0c

vDisplay Device (Get Drivers) S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR

Display Memory 64.0

Display Driver 6.14.10.0028-13.94.28

Sound Device (Get Drivers) Avance AC97 Audio

Sound Driver 5.10.3990

PLEASE also note i have tried closing running background tasks

so is there anything i can get to make it work... i really dont want to up greade to a new graphics card but the game was fun until it froze dispite the bad graphics (i know theya re better in the game)

anyway any help would be much appreciated

Nathan

first off, try raising the resolution. please
note, the sims 2 must have a video card
that supports T&L and other features, so i
recommend getting a 64MB video card,
aka GeForce3, or Radeon 9000 or better.
make sure the videocard is DirectX 9.0
compatible. bad news, you will have to
upgrade....

If you mean that the game is only running in 800x600, I'm having the same problem, and I have everything that has been mentioned above.
