I just got a new graphics card today in the hope i finally being able to play games like The Sims 2 etc properly, however although the game runs faster, there is alot of corruption - holes in objects, flashing colours etc. The card I got is an Asus N6600 256Mb DDR AGP 8X. Can anyone shed some light as to what is wrong?
Thank You

I'm also having problems with Sims 2 graphics. It freezes up after about 10 minutes of playing, all the while the music is wonky and things take forever to load (forever=longer than usual, around 5 minutes if at all). Every now and then it goes to blue screen and tells me I need a better graphics driver. How do I get one and which one do I need?

Your loading problems are probally because of a slow hard drive, or not alot of ram. people usually get the blue screen from a power supply problem, or overheating. you can go to your vid card's offical site and look for the newer drivers for your card there. they should have the newest ones posted.

if you need more help post your g-card specs and ill give you a link

Don't forget that it doesn't matter sometimes about the speed of your computer. The Sims 2 uses the CD to load things, which means that sometimes, if your CD is in bad condition, the only way to get better performance is to get a new CD or use a program called GameDrive9.0. I found this out quickly when I bought my new gaming computer 3 months ago.

Oh boy what a good idea! :
