Hey, guys, I didn't buy from Cyberpower, but I bought from Newegg.com. I bought all the parts need with some help from a friend, they'll be here in a couple of days, but I don't have a video-card yet. I want the XFX Geforce 7900GT, or the EVGA Geforce 7900GT, but I don't have enough for them. I guess I'll save up some money for the card I want. Thanks guys. PS: I'm customizing the rig myself. :)

New PC will be anounced later on.

No idea who you are, but go team go.

(You may want to reference your prior post. Otherwise, the regulars here post to help so many, we don't remember your case individually.)

Well, I can't find my previous posts, but do you think the XFX 7600GT is a good buy? Costs 199.00 on Newegg.com

Sorry for double posting, but It'd be a good buy for right now, until the 7900GT slumps down a price.

Can't find? If you've been using the same name, all you have to do is go to "My Computing.net" (there are at least a 1/2 dozen places on each page where you can click on it - look around)...then click on "Message List"

This site may help with a card selection, unfortunately the one you're considering isn't on the list:

I would wait for the 7900gt... You'd be amazed how a game like OBLIVION will give a hard time even to the 7900gt.

BTW...
If suddenly you find 300 bucks on the street (xD) I would go with ati at the high end, since ati x1xxxx cards can enable antialasing and HDR at the same time, something no nvidia card can do. There has been a driver patch released by ati that let's you enable hdr and antialasing simultaniously in oblivion (even when they had blocked it from in game because nvidia probably paid theme xD) and it looks simply gorgeous. Every oblivion player that bought an expensive nvidia card is regreting it now because hdr+aa simply looks amazing...
In my opinion the g71 chip is one of the laziests chips ever, just a trumped up g70, instead ati has a hole new architecture.
Right now the only advantage of nvidia is the fact that they have a bigger company with more influence on game designers so they try to make things bad for ati. But it's no big deal, as seen with oblivion.

Low and mid end: go for nvidia
HIgh end: go for aTi.

Do I actually have to use the DVI connector into the 7600GT, or not. Because, I'm using my old CRT screen DN-15, and somehow I don't want to spend more bucks on an LCD screen. Would anyone help me? ASAP. PS: I like Nvida. Just using this card until I save up for a 7900GT.

Most of the time, they include DVI to VGA adapters. If not, you can get those very cheaply.

Where. Tell me, please. :) Because, I want to use the CRT screen, but on the card it doesn't show the blue out-put, only the gray. Could I use the blue output on the motherboard and still use the video-card?

If you use the output on your motherboard then that is where your graphics will come from. You must plug into the video card as per heropsycho suggestion to use the video card graphics. If the adapter did not come with your video card, which is unusual, then you can purchase them easily at CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, Radio Shack, etc. Everywhere's except 7-11. :)If you live on a deserted island you can use newegg or zipzoomfly. :)

Do you think a XFX, or EVGA 7600GS will work for right now, I mean they cost cheaper than the 7600Gt, and it performs great, but what are your comments on this, ASAP.

What can you afford? If I could not afford the 7900GT, I might go with the eVGA 7600GT. I would dump the idea with the 7600GS. AND as Jam points out, I would not be buying this card temporarily until I can afford the 7900GT. Doesn't make no sense. IMO, the first card you buy is the most important because you're kind of stuck with it when you want to go SLI. Otherwise you're buying two cards instead of one. If you still plan to purchase the 7900GT later, then you may want to go with the XFX 7600GS.

Do you think I should buy a 7800GT from Ebay? I mean, It's used, but I'm kind of on the steep here, can't afford a new card. Do you recommended it, or not?

I don't because you don't know if the card was abused or what. Then again, I think ebay is a blight on our culture....

7800GT is a good card. I don't know what kind of condition it would be in. As long as the person who had it before didn't do any heavy overclocking then its probably okay. Its a chance you have to decide.
