System Requirements Help

Specs: Windows 7

I was wondering if the following computer could run these games: GTA IV and MAFIA II. BEFORE you redirect me to 'Can You Run It' let me explain. I know of the existance of the site and have used the site, BUT i know that those 2 games have incredibly high system requirements (apparently understated) and therefore performance cannot be 100% understood just by looking at the system requirements (due to features such as physX in Mafia 2). So my question is can these games be run (possibly on MAX settings) on a pc with this hardware:

Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit

Intel i5 core 760 (2.8 GHz)

ATI HD 5450 1GB (Dedicated)

and at a resoulution of 1366x768 or if possible 1920 x 1080

p.s. im not sure what difference it makes, buts it a HP Pavilion 6595A.

Thank You very much....

Are u sure the model # is correct? Hd 5450 is a bad video card for gaming, u need to replace it with geforce gts 450 or gtx 460 768mb or gtx 460 se 1gb or Ati radeon hd 5770. If u have crappy oem psu(250w) u need to replace it too and i recommend 450-550w unit(good brand like corsair). I hope the system can take full size video card.

Even with low settings hd 5450 can't handle games u mentioned well. The card is good for other things like watching hd videos.

Looks like you've gotten your answer but just to confirm, the HD 5450 is not a gaming card, it's a HTPC (home theater) card. The HD 5770 is a good choice for gaming.

Tom's Hardware should be posting the April update soon, but here's the March article:

hey man some guys ran CRYSIS on an integrated GMA 950 and that makes almost everything possible.Blitzbusta install some modded drivers and try to install these games and run them.if that doesn't work search Google for tweaks. And you might be able to overclock your HD 5450 so it performance a lot better.Google that too.I saw GTA IV being played on an integrated GMA 4500M in Youtube(which is a lot worse than the HD 5450).So go ahead and play GTA 4(and MAFIA 2 TOO).You might need to lower your settings a little bit but thats not a problem.PEOPLE WHO JUST SAY "BUY A NEW CARD" ARE TOTAL A***HOLES.PEOPLE DIDN'T ASK YOU GUYS FOR UPGRADE INFO.THEY ASKED IF THE GAMES CAN BE PLAYED.SORRY FOR BEING RUDE BUT I'VE SEEN BUY A NEW CARD OVER A 100 TIMES.AND IM TIRED OF IT.

hey man this is GTA 4's minimum system requirments:

GTA 4 Minimum System Requirements:

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz or equivalent AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
Memory/RAM: 1GB for XP and 1.5GB for Vista
Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 or 256MB ATI X1900
Hard Disk Space: 16GB free
Operating System: Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1

The GF 7900 is really old.
The i5 Is a good processor(way better than the core 2 quad)
You've got 4 GB Ram Which is 2GB more than the minimum requirment
Your PC meets the minimum system requirments for GTA IV.

BUT DISABLE ANTI-ALIASING.It cuts your Frame rates by half for a little more quality. So if you get 50 fps without Anti-Aliasing you will Get 20 fps with Anti-Aliasing.
