try update your system... and you run vista on 358Mb ram, changing the ram to 1Gb may solve the problem. vista requires 1gb or ram and 128Mb screencard, or buy another computer.
but the generic-error may be system error or hw error, try upgrade your computer...

I could be wrong about amount of ram,it plays lots of other games no problems. games like [moh-flashpoint-splintercell-hidden&dangerous ect]
