Hello All,

My PC config is

Intel 865 GBF motherboard
768 MB DDR RAM
NVidia GForce 5200 256 MB Video Card
MS XP2002 sp2

I know that my graphics card is a dinosaur and would like to upgrade that with something like GForce 8800 GT. basically would like to play games like Crysis and Gears of War. I dont know whether the latest graphics card will be suitable for my motherboard and RAM since i dont have DDR3 or PCI-E slots(I think).

Please advise if cards like 8600 or better will be compatible with the memory and motherboard or processor.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Jam,

Thank you very much for your response. those URLs were of much help. I see that the board is having PCI slots as well, can I fit any graphics card which requirs PCI-E into one of those slots and make it work? Also, could you tell me some of the NVidia(XFX Cards) cards for this config since those will be little easier for me to find.

Thank you again.

Regards.

Pci-e won't work in a pci slot. The best agp nvidia out there is the 7300 or 7600.think there was a limited run of 7800 agp but g/l finding 1. G/l
