Hey all, I wanted your suggestions on the best video card out there, and I mean the best. I have $1500 to shed on a new video card, People are telling me that the best one out there I can get for $899, but I was wondering, what is the best video card I can get, price can be over $1000...not over $1500. Well thanks for your suggestions.

Do you have the best system to go with this card, and can we have the specs?

Oh and BTW, I was going to suggest nVidia's Quadro Plex 1000 but then I realized your money is far shorter than you'd like us to believe....................LOL

Whats wrong with this picture? You want a great graphics card, but yet have a par processor and a par amount of ram for gaming?

That's not even mentioning what and how good your psu is.

If you are going to spend that much then i suggest your add another gig of ram and a better processor for gaming, because if you are looking to play the newest games out there on max settings, it isn't going to happen with that system you have now regardless of the graphics card that you put in it.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600+ OC 2.7ghz
2GB Dual Channel DDR 3200
Nvidia 7900GT
SATA II 2x 200gig 7200rpm 16mb cache RAID-0
Gigabyte Nforce 4 SLI

OK, with my current machine, I can run any game out there. All I want is better graphics. AND BTW sabertooth, that video card is for 3D game designers, It's not a gaming video card.

List your system specs & be specific:

CPU (S478 or 775, Prescott?)
motherboard & chipset type (Intel, nForce, VIA, SiS?)
RAM (PC2700 or PC3200, 1GB or 2 x 512MB?)
video card (AGP or PCI-e?)
power supply (total wattage, amperage on +12v rails?)

"I can run any game out there"

Yeah you can but not at max settings without running dropping under 60 fps. The Pentium 4 (excluding the EE) isn't a gamers processor, The Athlon 64 is. The Pentium 4 is a editors processor.

The thing is these guys are telling you that spending that much money for a video card (that i doubt you have, cause it's so damn stupid to spend that much on one)is senseless if it doesnt go with a tricked out system. Oh, and is this your forum? how so?
