Installation of Starcraft hangs at the maps/Lost Civilizations portion. Trying to install on an HP xf328 laptop. Video chipset S3-VIA twisterK, DirectX 9.0, video memory 16MB. Any help is appreciated.

Whenever I have difficulty installing stuff, I copy the whole CD to my harddisk first, and then run the installation from my harddisk. Try this.
When copying, if you find that it stops at the maps/Lost Civilizations portion as well, it most probably means that the CD is unreadable in that area. Then try copying everything else apart from that map files. Map files are not crucial and is downloadable from the net.
