splinter cell graphics problem

Hi folks, I'm new to all this. But I have a problem thats driving me insane. i just bought the orginal Splinter Cell game and Im having performance issues. I have a GeForce FX 5200 graphics card with latest drivers. 1.8 Ghz processor and 512mb ram. It far exceeds the recommended settings, but will only really run on the lowest graphic settings. Any ideas? Is it incompatible?

Thanks, I'm downloading the patch now. I have the latest video, sound and direct X drivers. How do I go about updating the chipset? Is that my processor? Sorry for my lack of knowledge! Thanks again

Tell me the brand and model number of your motherboard and ill give you another link to download the drivers from.

Its an ASROCK K7S8XE+ , pretty bad i think, I had a good one but it broke, and I got fully ripped of by this comupter repair shop. Thanks a lot for your help.
