I have installed Splinter Cell in windows xp and the installation process went smoothly. However whenever I try to run the game I get a pop box entitled "Access Denied" with the message "Please login with administrator privileges and try again". The probably is that I do have administrator privileges.
These are the steps I have already tried:
1. I made sure that I had administrator premissions" - Failed
2. I created a new account with administrator premissions. - Failed
3. My harddrives are formatted in FAT32, so i converted one of them to NTSF so that I could change premissions. I made sure everyone had full control of that harddrive. - Failed
4. I logged in under the default "Administrator" account in XP - Failed
5. I used the "run as..." option to try and run the program with different admin accounts. - Failed
6. I rebooted in safemode as Admin and tried running it. - FailedCan someone please help me? All the information I have found about this has been no help.
I have been trying to get his game to work all day and am now getting annoyed.

I think that when I downloaded that game I had to download the latest drivers for my nvidia gforce. If you dont have nvidia then I would suggest asking the ubisoft.com for help

Hi, have you tried logging in with administrator priveledge and then installing and running the game?? Some games do not take well to multi user environments and have to be installed for everybody who uses them.. Normally by an administrator...
Also, try to install somewhere other than your "Program Files" directory as winxp sometimes gets upset about underpriveledged users and that folder.Hope this helps
