Hi guys,

This is gonna be really dumb, but I got the game for pc and Ive just been messing with it for like 10 minutes, and I Just beat that rhino guy that got outta jail and now I"m at the bank... Problem is, I get to the part where I see the security guard in the room, and he tells me to find another guard on the 2nd floor... and he gives me a card or something, but the arrow says I need to go into a room that I can't go into without a key code, and I need to get a guard to give me the key code... what do I do... Ive killed all the robbers, and now I can't get into the security room,... and I can't go downstairs because doc oct broke the door...

What do I do... ?

Thanks in advance...

Go to the left down the hall and there will be an open door. Climb up the wall and zip over to the next wall, which you can climb into the window of and get to the other security guard.

Hi,
I've got the same problem. I've searched everywhere but I can't find any windows to climb thru. Is it near the soda machine room? Or is it near the maintennance closet with the shaft in the ceiling?

Thanks,
EL

Hey el_frustro! I am having the same prob. I've defeated the robbers and met with the first security guard...he told me to go to the second floor to find the other guard. I can't get to the second floor because the elevator won't work. I was wondering if you've figured anything out yet, if so please post :)

ShirleyTemple,
Sorry, no revelations. I'm just waiting for guidance. :) The only thing I noticed is that when wearing my headphones I heard sounds of opening and closing and sometimes punching (?). It seemed loudest near the soda machine room. Let me know if you figure it out.

Good luck,
El

Hi ~evans~,
I like it but apparently it is not as good as the console versions (PS2, XBox...). Here's a link to the review:

Anyone want the answer to the security door?

I've been struggling with the same thing for the longest time, but after many hours of crap...I'VE GOT THE ANSWER TO THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is nothing that any of you haven't done in this level to not be allowed in the security room. This is an issue with the controls menu in the game options. I've figured out 2 quick solutions. #1 change the primary key function and secondary ket funtions of the Web/action/attack button to 2 different keys. if you set the primary function to left mouse button while the secondary function is also set to the left mouse button, then for some reason the security door won't open once you've gotten the card from the guard infront of the wall safe. If this is too complicated for you or you don't understand what i'm talking about, then try option #2 ...play the level normally and get the card from the guard and when it says that you still need a code, just pause the game, go into options and the controls menu, set the controls to default, return to the game, open the door, go in the security room, then go back into options and change your controls back to you liking...BINGO. This worked for me and i hope it works for you. Peace out!!!

Thanks Pk2004! That's what I get for cusomizing my controls. Once I bound "use" to another primary key and set my alternate to left mouse it worked great. Pretty lame problem.

Thanks again!

No prob.
It took me a while to figure that one out. I emailed Activision 3 times about this problem and each time they told me that they didn't give out hints and I should buy the strategy guide. They also told me that I wasn't finding the right guard to get into the door. Those morons. Can you believe that people get paid to dish out that BS.

Come on guys, you got stuck on the PC version of spider man 2? Thats so bad I really can't say any more on it. It's designed for kids. Its bad enough that the PC version is a pale shadow of the console version. Activision have commited a crime, especially since both versions are advertised and boxed as the same game. If you bought this game for your pc, take it back. Finally if you actually thinking of buying a stratagy guide for this game, a game which took my 8 year old nephew 2 hours to finish. Haven't you wasted enough money.

Man, this is the stupidest thread I've ever seen. It's pure comedy! I ask, 'Do you know what really makes this funny?' A 8 year old kid is superior to you all. Makes you really feel good about yourself.

ellis put it very nicely "yuo freakin n00bs"

WOW! Ellis and returnofthejim seem to have some kind of literacy problem. Maybe if they read all of the postings they would have realized that the difficulty people were having in this level was due to control menu glitch and not about knowing what walls to climb over. It probably took the rest of us about 5 mins to find the wall to climb over, it wasn't a diificult thing to do. Their ignorance amazes me.
As for the 8 year old being superior to us: if he can READ then maybe we're not the ones who should be worried about being outdone by a youngster!

I'm not illiterate, just a little stupid for actually reading this thread. However, PK you're right. I should think about more about other people and there problems, so I apologise. You should remember though, that everybody is entitled to their own opinion and has the right to bitch about anything they want. It's not ignorance just Freedom of speech, which is a beautiful thing.

I still suggest you take the PC version of spider man back to store and get your money back. There are far better games out there, which offer better value for money.

I wish I could take this piece of crap back. Best buy told me that they won't take back open software...you'd guess that they'd make an exception for falsely advertised products.
Sorry for some of the harshness there. It's just that this security room issue pissed me and probably a bunch of people off. The fact that Activision kept dishing me BS just made me more pissed until I finally had to solve the glitch on my own which took several hours. I wouldn't have spent so much time figuring it out but I'd already gotten nothing for my money and I didn't want to get less.
Oh, and just for the record, I would have never bought the strategy guide for this craptastic game. The only reason I would buy it would be to roll it up into a log for the fire and watch it burn.
