Comment: I have recently started having problem with my audio for no apparent reason. In some games, the audio cuts in and out constantly, or in the case of Prince of Persia, just during cut-scenes. The games I've had a problem with are PoP-SoT and True Crime, but not with DOOM3, CZero or anything else. I've tried reinstalling the Drivers, to no avail. The card is an on-board, basic AC'97 sound card. Please help, this is a really annoying problem. Reply: (edit)Mine has been working for ages, it just suddenly started doing strange things lately. And why does it only happen on some games? Leadtek Geforce6800 Thermaltake 360W PSU 56X CD-ROM 52x24x52 Samsung CD-RW 20 GB Maxtor HDD 80 GB Hitachi HDD Gigabyte GA-7DX+ MOBO SMC 10/100 LAN

Reply: (edit)I have a VIA AC '97 Audio Controller (WMD) and a Sony CD-RW CRX14E CD Rom drive. My PC is connected to a stereo, which works fine. Lately, when I play a music CD, whether with WMD or Real Player, the sound is awful. The music is loud and clear, but the lead vocal sounds very faint. Or, the background singing is barely heard, and the music sounds far away. The CDs work fine on other CD players. Maybe we have a similar problem. MarkF505
