which mousepads do you people think are better. the soft cloth ones, or the hard plastic ones. whihc ones are better for gaming, in other words fast mouse movements. i wanna go with one of the Xtrac mousepads cuz they look cool and i read they are good, but hey its a mousepad. so gimme ur opinions on these or any other mouse pads.

I have an everglige giganta (hard plastic) which has a kind of rough surface and is really nice to use once you've adjusted to it.

It kind of depends on your mouse and pad combination. I had a microsoft mouse before and at a LAN party I had won a new nVidia hard plastic glossy surface. I would get mouse jumps or it would stick in one spot, so I switched back to my other soft pad. My friend sitting next to me picked it up and used it with his logitech mouse, no problems. Later on at another LAN party I bought a FatPad and it had a semi glossy surface, not as glossy as the nVidia one. and the microsoft mouse worked just fine. Then I got a Logitech MX510 "Blue" and it works great on the mousepad. I just think you need to find the right combo of moust to pad, to best fit your needs.
