For the past few months I've experienced a choppy mouse, and a slow responding keyboard, in a number of games(just games). Some days it's not as bad and then other days it's worse. These games(Max Payne, many EA Sports games) worked fine for a long while before this happened. I'm not aware of anything I installed or did to make this happen. If anybody has experienced something similar and knows of a possible solution please respond. Thanks.

run scandisk for errors and scan for viruses too. afterwards, you can defrag your computer and see if that helps.
dont forget to download the latest drivers for your video card. good luck

Thanks for the suggestion, but I had already done that to no prevail.
Actually right after I posted the original message I downloaded Ad-aware because I saw it mentioned on another post. I installed it, used it and I haven't experienced any problems since(Although it's only been a day). So there must have been something I picked up from the internet that Spybot, which I was using before, did not detect. Thanks for your intent.

In some games (most I think) you willhave what is called "sensitivity". A high sensitivity makes you jump all over the screen....check the games settings, in case it has changed for whatever reason.
Also, make sure the cables are all properly plug, and don't be afraid if it is the actual keyboard and mouse failing....it has happened to me in the past.
Also, if you are connected online, the *choppy* you feel might be lag, and this is directly related to the ping response with which you are connecting.
Check everything, defrag, fine tune your controls and if it keeps happening, try a different mouse and see if it helps....maybe that's the real problem.
Hope it helps
