No offense, but a Fx5200 is a budget card so it sucks. Halo is a very GPU-dependant game...

Even my Geforce FX 5900 can just bout play the game at 50-60 fps average with a Athlon XP 2600 333fsb 1gb Dual Channel PC3200 DDR

Lower your resolution down to 800X600 or 640X480 to improve performance. Halo is not a good measure of overall gaming performance.

I don't know about that... I run Halo very well, all high graphics at 1024x768. I have Radeon 9800SE softmodded to a Pro, athlon xp 2400+ processor, 512 mb ddr... If anything, the choppiness is from the video card. I had a Geforce 4 mx440, I could still run it at 1024x768 just with low graphics... keep in mind that antialiasing does not work with Halo and causes reduced framerates when on.

Works awsome on my system.1024x768 settings on high. very smooth. I'm running a P4 1.7gzh
Geforce4 TI4600, 512mb pc 133. Not the best system, but Halo is one of the games that works best on my computer.
