Hi,
i just got a new system:

AMD XP Moblie 2500+ @ 3200+ (11 x 200Mhz)
Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe
2x512MB DDR400 Kingston
GeForce FX 5900XT
Windows XP Pro

So now i'm playing a lot of games.. i just finished DooM3, wich is working excelent on my sytstem with evrything on high @ 1280x1024
And also games like Call of Duty, Battlefield Vietnam & Halflife are working perfect
The only game that gives problems is FarCry..
I never had so many error messages and fails.. it's also pretty slow, so why cant i run FarCry as good as DooM3?

Lots of people have had problems with farcry, if you look at the farcry help forum on the Ubisoft website you'll see that lots of things are wrong with farcry.

I think the game was rushed, originally it was designed to be a demo for the FX range of Nvidia cards, but they decided to make a full game out of it. I don't think they did a good job of optimizing it, allowing it to be used on lower-end systems, and as a result you need a fairly beefy computer to run it reasonably.

There is a v1.1 patch available, a v1.2 patch was out for a while, but they withdrew it because it had issues with certain hardware brands.

Farcry just isn't a good example of a well-written and developed game.
