You should have no problems playing doom3.
Try downloading the latest ATI radeon drivers, Directx 9c redist, sound drivers.
It might be an idea to check your computer for viruses and perhaps run some kind of system check (e.g Norton Windoctor) to check for registry errors and conflictions.
If you don't have it, go to www.majorgeeks.com, you should be able to find some freeware scanners on there.

hope this helps.

You can go to google.com and put in your motherboard in there and search for it there. You might be able to go to dell.com and look there.

Two:
If yo are unsure, you can give us your motherboard and we can tell you

Three:
If you know you have an AGP 4x/8x slot, then it will be compatible.

Four:
If you have the new ati drivers, try uninstalling the new control panel, you know, the one that is 44mb, i had trouble with this thing, but when i uninstalled it everything was fine.

Do these things and get back to us.

hi , i have downloaded the Omega drivers for my sapphire radion 9800xt 256Mb, everything is now back to normal but graphics and sound still jittery. My AGP is 4x, is that a problem then?, do i need a new motherboard to get the most out of the 9800?

AGPx4 shouldn't be a problem. 8x and 4x are compatible with each other and there is virtally no visible difference in actual graphics performance.

I changed from an AGPx4 motherboard to one with AGPx8 (My card is AGPx8) and I haven't noticed any difference in games whatsoever.

If ur card is that size then yes. As for the sound, i had a friend that it did the exact same thing. I do believe he uninstalled and then reinstalled his game and things still didnt work 100%, but they worked a lot better.

Try a different set of driver's for your sound card, weather it be new ones you have yet to download or an old set and see what that does.

Make sure there are no hardware conflicts with your computer. Also, try uninstalling and reinstalling you sound card.
