I was just woundering what would be smarter. If i were to buy an SLI motherboard now but only with 1 Video card, then once i need more performance i would just buy a second video card. Would that be better then just getting a single video card slot, that i would have to buy an even more expensive card and possible another motherboard.

I was just woundering since the price difference isnt all that much. Only about $70. What would you guys recommend?

Like jam told you. You're not ready to build your own PC but since you're so persistent ;) It would be way better to buy an SLI board. IF YOU NEED IT! If DOOM3 is the game you're trying to improve stick to standard PCI-E or AGP there is no need to spend money on something you will never use. To be honest SLI is a little ahead of it's time there aren't really any computers out there that would need that much power to run todays apps. If you just want to waste money go for it. But your a novice builder so I would recommend baby steps.

XD lol no no no, im not building a pc. Im configuring one online with cyberpowersystems.com. So im just basicly telling them what i want and they make it. Ok so i guess i shouldnt spend an extra $70 on an SLI? But what if i want to future proof it, so i dont end up spending more money down the road.

Wow, oh ok. Sorry. If you're a hardcore and when I say hardcore I mean you would spend an extra hundred dollars on a Video Card to get 5 more FPS then go for the SLI. Otherwise you shouldn't need it.
