Help me - I Installed sims2 and now Sims 2 Nightlife. After Istallation it asks for Sims2 CD4. I put this in - it continues to install up to TSData\Res\Effects\effects.package - then it tells me - Error during update installation.

go to the official site, download the patch there. Run that then nightlife will see its allready installed and wont propt you to install it during its install.

examine your disc for scratches all its doing is coping files from the disc, if not uninstall remove all traces of the game (registry/ folders) and then do the install.
