Sims 3 won't install on my laptop?

November 23, 2010 at 09:48:11
Specs: Windows 7

I recently got The Sims 3 and after installing it on my Gateway laptop, I was able to play for a few hours. The next day when I tried to open it, it instead asked if I wanted to uninstall it. I decided to follow the directions and try installing it again. Now it asks if I want to uninstall the game every time I put the disk in. Any suggestions?

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premiun 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)
System Model: NV52 Series
BIOS: Ver 1.00PARTTBL
Processor: AMD Turion(tm) X2 Dual-Core Mobile RM-72 (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Gaming Card: ATI Radeon HD 3200 Graphics

I'm not sure what information anyone would need, but if you need more, feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

As far as I know. When I put the disk in, it asks if I'd like to uninstall The Sims 3, even though I've already deleted all the EA Games documents I can locate.
