I have Sims 2 Open For Business and Sims 2 Double Deluxe. I am trying to play Open For Business and when I open it says "you are running the wrong version of Sim 2 please run Sims 2 Double Deluxe instead." I am so confused can someone please help?
Open for Business is an expansion pack for SIMS 2. Double Deluxe is a separate game & won't allow you to run the expansion pack. You need to buy SIMS 2.

The Sims all run with the most recent expansion pack CD, regardless of what was installed first (save for the Sims 2 itself which you need to run expansion packs). Double Deluxe was actually released after OFB and includes the Sims 2 and Nighlife. You'll need to use this CD as it is the most recent version of the game you have and all expansion packs (unless you purchase something released after Double Deluxe) will run with the Double Deluxe CD.
