Sims 2 not working

I just installed the sims and then when i click the shortcut on the desktop it sits at the "Sims 2" Screen with the diomand ontop ?

y wont it run?

im only 14 and i fvck up my computer alot

Reinsert the CD in CD ROM to start up the game, I've noticed when you do this instead of clicking the shortcut the game will load faster.

If this does not work, I noticed you have
a SIS integrated video card (not very good)

Try this fix to run the game in a window mode
with least graphical detail:

Right click the SIMS 2 shortcut,
Go to properties

where it says TARGET: add a -w to the end:

"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2\TSBin\Sims2.exe" -w

change your desktop resolution to 16 bit
and try to run the game then.
